Educational Qualification
- Graduates/Postgraduates can do the course.
- Moreover, the 12th pass can also do it.
Way – 1 ) After 12th
It is essential to go through the following information.
- CA Foundation course (previous Common Proficiency Test – CPT)
- Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (ICITSS)
- CA Intermediate (previous Integrated Professional Competence Course – IPCC)
- Articleship
- Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS)
- Final course (FC)
Step – 1 ) Foundation Course
Most importantly, after completing your 12th exam, go for Foundation Course. Further, appear for the Foundation Exam.
Step – 2 ) Intermediate Course
After completing the first step, go for the next one. Enroll for Intermediate Course.
Step – 3 ) ICITSS Stage
After that, complete the Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (ICITSS) for 4 weeks duration.
Step – 4 ) Course Completion
You must complete the study course of the Intermediate with 8 months duration and then appear for the exam. There will be 2 exam groups out of which you need to pass at least one.
Step – 5 ) Article Training Phase
Join article training of 3-year duration after passing any of the group of Intermediate Exam. Then complete ICITSS before articleship.
Step – 6 ) Clearing the Remaining Group
If there is a backlog of groups in the Intermediate Exam, then clear it.
Step – 7 ) Final Course
You can now enroll for the Final Course.
Step – 8 ) AICITSS Phase
Complete the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (AICITSS) for the 4 weeks duration. It is necessary to complete it in the last 2 years of your articleship before appearing for the final exam.
Step – 9 ) Final exam
After completing articleship or during its last 6 months, you can appear for the exam.
Step – 10 ) Clearing the Final Exam
After that clear the final exam. Then, perform the enrollment process as a member of the ICAI for designating as a ‘Chartered Accountant (CA)’.
Way – 2 ) After Graduation / Post-graduation
You may skip some of the steps mentioned above, as you are appearing after Graduation / Post-graduation.
The steps to be followed are:
1 ) You should perform the CA Intermediate Course enrolling process.
2 ) Complete Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (ICITSS) of 4 weeks duration.
3 ) After the completion of 9 months of your training, appear for the CA Intermediate Exam.
4 ) You must Clear both groups of the CA Intermediate Exam.
5 ) After that, do the registration for CA Final Course.
6 ) Complete the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (AICITSS) for the 4 weeks duration. It is necessary to complete it in the last 2 years of your articleship before appearing for the final exam.
7 ) Stepping ahead complete your training phase of 3-year duration.
8 ) After that clear the CA final exam. Then, perform the enrollment process as a member of the ICAI for designating as a ‘Chartered Accountant (CA)’.
